Proportion of students receiving financial aid to attend university because of poverty

BAU is committed to expanding access to higher education for underprivileged students, ensuring that education rests as a fundamental human right. Each year, the university reserves a significant portion of its admissions for students from the bottom financial quintile, including those from remote areas, refugee camps, and disadvantaged regions. This commitment is supported by The Royal Benevolence Initiative for Jordanian Tribal Communities in Desert Schools, Schools in Challenging Circumstances, and the Department of Palestinian Affairs. By targeting economically weak students, the university seeks to empower them to pursue higher education, improve their living conditions, & foster community development. In collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research, & through the Unified Admission Unit, Balqa Applied University ensures equal access for marginalized students, reflecting its mission to promote educational equity and provide quality higher education to all.
