Low Carbon Energy Tracking
BAU systematically measures and monitors the amount of low-carbon energy used across its campuses as part of its sustainability framework. The university has made remarkable progress in expanding its reliance on renewable energy, particularly solar power, through projects such as the large-scale solar park, rooftop and green roof photovoltaic systems.
These initiatives reflect BAU’s strong commitment to reducing carbon emissions and transitioning toward a fully renewable energy system. As a member of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and the Energy Institute, BAU continues to strengthen its data tracking and reporting systems to ensure transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in its journey toward becoming a low-carbon university.
