In a country devoid of permanent surface water resources like Jordan, BAU adopts a forward-thinking strategy prioritizing sustainable water use. Remarkably, within our thirteen campuses, we refrain from exploiting conventional water resources; all three existing groundwater wells are non-operational. Our commitment to conservation is evident in our adoption of non-conventional water resource techniques. Key practices include rainwater harvesting and wastewater treatment, with greywater utilization being a focus in our new building designs. These initiatives significantly contribute to mitigating water shortages. Moreover, BAU champions sustainability through extensive knowledge transfer and awareness programs, alongside innovative educational curricula. These efforts are underpinned by our recently established sustainability office, dedicated to overseeing and advancing our sustainable missions.
