Relationships with Regional NGOs and Government for SDG Policy
Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU) plays an active and influential role in shaping and supporting national and regional SDG policy development through direct collaboration with government institutions and non-governmental organizations. The university contributes to identifying key challenges, formulating effective strategies, and monitoring progress across the social, economic, and environmental dimensions, thereby strengthening its role in policy formulation, adaptive management, and evidence-based decision-making that advance progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
BAU works closely with national, regional, and international partners, including the European Union (EU), GIZ, KOICA, and UNESCO, to develop Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) policies in Jordan. At the national level, BAU actively participates in policy committees and initiatives in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Works, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and other relevant stakeholders to promote sustainable development and policy innovation.
