Low-income Student Support
Support described includes financial assistance, reduced master’s tuition fees, waived English-course material fees, and other measures intended to reduce financial barriers to study.
Dedicated low-income scholarship program as BAU operates a scholarship program for high-achieving students with limited financial means, designed to promote equal educational opportunities regardless of students’ financial capacity. Eligibility considers socioeconomic factors including monthly per-capita family income.
Emergency financial assistance: BAU provides emergency financial assistance to bachelor’s and diploma students experiencing financial hardship through the Deanship of Student Affairs, providing a mechanism for responding to urgent financial circumstances that could affect students’ studies.
Targeted support for financially disadvantaged female students: In 2026, BAU approved financial assistance for 200 female students, providing JOD 60 per month for one semester, renewable according to assessment of each student’s circumstances. The initiative supports students’ basic needs and academic continuity.
Housing-cost support: BAU has reduced non-tuition expenses for students through housing-fee exemptions, including an initiative exempting female students at Al-Shoubak University College from accommodation fees, thereby reducing the financial burden associated with attending university away from home.
