Commitment to Carbon Neutral University
BAU is committed to becoming a low-carbon university, addressing Jordan’s environmental challenges through its Sustainability Strategy and Strategic Plan (through 2035). Its Climate Action Plan (2022–2026), based on a Baseline Emission Inventory, sets initiatives to reduce carbon emissions and ecological impact. Key decarbonization measures include expanding solar energy use, improving energy efficiency with smart buildings, and promoting low- and zero-emission vehicles and alternative transportation.
