Recognizing water security as a national imperative, Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU) has integrated it as a core focus. Our commitment to water security is shown through significant steps and collaborations. Notably, BAU partnered with UNESCO to establish a dedicated water center at the university. This alliance marked the beginning of BAU’s extensive engagement in both national and international water security projects. Our efforts range from contributing to policy development to implementing tangible interventions. These projects, both international and national, are directed towards achieving substantial water security goals. Currently, BAU boasts over 14 active and completed water-related projects and numerous international partnerships. This has positioned BAU as a central hub for water scientists in Jordan and the broader Middle East region. Our diverse and impactful initiatives demonstrate BAU’s deep commitment to advancing water security, alignment with SDGs.
