Environmental Education Collaborate with NGO
BAU actively collaborates with Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), community groups, and international partners to advance climate adaptation, environmental education, and sustainable resource management. The university works closely with local farmers, community organizations, and NGOs such as NUFFIC-OKP to conduct training workshops and capacity-building programs focused on sustainable water management, agricultural innovations, and wastewater reuse, helping to strengthen both local and national climate resilience.
BAU also partners with international institutions, including IHE Delft for Water Education and the World Water Academy (WWA), through initiatives such as the WATRA Project, which integrates study tours, technical workshops, and practical training to enhance national capacities in climate resilience, water treatment, and pollution control. In parallel, the university’s Environmental Monitoring Center and Smart Organic Agriculture Program support applied research, policy development, and community engagement, promoting pollution reduction and climate-smart farming practices.
In addition, BAU organizes awareness campaigns and hands-on programs, such as Water Fun – Hands, Minds, and Hearts on Water for Life, which train staff, students, and children in water treatment techniques, water conservation, and sustainable practices. Collaborative programs with governmental and international partners, including lectures with the Royal Department for Environmental Protection and workshops in partnership with the Crown Prince Foundation, further strengthen the university’s role in promoting climate-smart solutions, fostering environmental stewardship, and enhancing community resilience
