Local Community Outreach for Energy Efficiency
Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU) engages local communities and industries through academic programs, training, and research focused on clean energy, smart buildings, and electric vehicle maintenance. Using centers like IRCWEE, it provides practical training, knowledge-sharing, and technology transfer in renewable energy, the water-energy-food nexus, and smart building management. With 15 campuses and major projects like a 7 MW solar station, BAU promotes energy independence, efficiency, and sustainable practices. It also supports the industrial sector through energy audits, applied research, and specialized training, helping reduce energy use and CO₂ emissions across Jordan.
