BAU actively promotes the transition toward 100% Renewable Energy  on its campuses, supporting national efforts to expand clean energy use in Jordan. The university implements large-scale solar projects, including its 7 MW solar power station, and shares expertise through training programs, workshops, and community initiatives that encourage Renewable Energy adoption across the country. Currently, BAU achieves 90% of its energy consumption from renewable sources, marking significant progress toward its 100% Renewable Energy Goal. The Jordanian government facilitates this transition through incentives and discounts for solar energy system installations, while several banks provide low-interest loans for electric vehicle purchases, promoting zero-emission transportation.

Through these combined efforts, BAU strengthens its own energy independence and contributes to Jordan’s broader renewable energy transition and environmental sustainability objectives.
