Employment Practice Labour Rights
Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU) is firmly committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and participatory work environment where labour rights are fully recognized and upheld for all employees, including women and international staff. This includes the freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining, ensuring that every employee can voice concerns, join unions, and actively participate in workplace decision-making.
BAU cultivates a transparent, supportive, and respectful environment, promoting fair treatment, equitable pay, safe working conditions, and professional growth. The university actively supports women’s participation in leadership and governance, including representation in the Deans Council, and collaborates with professional organizations such as the Jordan Engineers Association and the Engineers Syndicate through initiatives like Career Day, scientific forums, and the ‘Sustainability Circuit’. These partnerships enhance opportunities for collective engagement, staff development, and professional advocacy.
