BAU’s Sustainability Literacy
The university has developed a comprehensive and integrated assessment tool to evaluate awareness of sustainable development among Faculty staff, administrative staff, and students. This tool serves as a critical mechanism for systematically understanding and strengthening sustainability knowledge across the entire university community. The insights generated provide an evidence-based foundation for designing future initiatives, informing institutional policies, and implementing targeted awareness programs, thereby ensuring a more effective, inclusive, and impactful approach to sustainability education on campus.
Moreover, the tool has been updated for the current academic year in alignment with international standards and global best practices. This enhancement was guided by the university’s achievement of the United Nations Chair for Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), further reinforcing its commitment to advancing sustainability awareness and embedding high-quality, globally aligned education principles across all levels of the institution.
